This American Bald Eagle had just caught a fish for breakfast. He was on the ground eating it when several buzzards tried to horn in. The eagle wasn't having any of that and ran them off. Photographed in Osceola County near the town of Kenansville , Florida.
As a teenager and young adult I was always the guy with an InstaMatic camera and a pocket full of flash cubes at family outings and get togethers. As middle age took over and life became more complicated, with two kids, a mortgage, car and insurance payments, groceries and on and on, my interest in photography took the back seat. But as the mortgages got paid and the kids grew up and left home life slowed down a little bit. In 2008 I got my first DSLR and started teaching myself how to use it. The more I learned the more enthusiastic I became. Now retired, I spend most of my free time taking shots and editing them. I've gravitated towards Landscape, Wildlife and Nature Macro photography, but anything is fair game! I've enjoyed...
